Love Lives Here at Salem Woods

Love has a beautiful way of standing the test of time, and George and Dot’s story is a testament to that. George, a resident at Salem Woods, is rarely seen without Dot by his side. Over the past year, we’ve come to know Dot well, as she spends each and every day with her beloved husband. Whether it’s taking peaceful walks around the building or simply enjoying each other’s company, their bond is undeniable.



This Valentine’s Day, we wanted to celebrate their love in a special way. When we invited Dot to a private dinner with George, she turned to him with a smile and said, “Did you hear that, George? We have a date!” It was a moment that melted our hearts.

As we led them to their intimate dinner, Dot shared a bit about their love story. Married since 1983, they first met at a dance bar, and from that moment, their journey together began. Nearly 42 years later, they remain inseparable—proof that true love only grows stronger with time.

The evening was filled with laughter, reminiscing, and the warmth of a love that has endured through the years. As the night came to a close, we thanked Dot for her unwavering devotion to George and for being such a cherished part of our Salem Woods family.
