Our Environmental Services Team at Residence at Salem Woods plays a vital role in our residents' care. They maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and their families. Their dedication and hard work often go unnoticed, but we want to take some time to show our appreciation in honor of Environmental Services Week.



Meet our incredible Environmental Services Team!

Heather Stephens - Housekeeping Director

"I’ve been with Salem Woods since June 2016. I enjoy talking with residents about whatever they have to discuss that day. The best part is seeing a resident smile because they know we care about their well-being. I have a great team and I take pride in my job!"

Ed Stephens - Maintenance Director

"I joined the Salem team in July 2013. I enjoy listening to our residents' stories, and I take pride in knowing that I make sure the building is safe for our residents and staff."

Mary Horsley - Housekeeper

"I’ve enjoyed working at Salem Woods as a housekeeper this past year because I like to keep their rooms clean, just like they would have kept their houses. I love having conversations with them and having that one-on-one interaction."

Dave O’conner - Floor Tech

"I have been here for two years as a floor tech and I take pride in keeping our floors nice and clean for our staff and residents. I feel like we are all family and I really enjoy coming to work and having a great day with my co-workers."

Mark Banchy - Laundry

"I have enjoyed being with Salem Woods for over 35 years in laundry because I love knowing I give the residents back their clothes fresh and clean. I get to see the residents and have conversations with them about history. Salem has always provided great benefits to staff as well, and I’ve liked that very much."

Salem Woods would like to recognize our other team members for their years of service: Heather with eight years as our Environmental Director/STNA, Mark with 40 years in laundry, Ed with ten years as our Maintenance Director, Shawnda with six years in housekeeping, C.J. with four years in maintenance/laundry, and Angel with three years in housekeeping. We can't forget to mention our newer hires who are a part of our EVS team, Dave with two years, Mary and Ashlee with one year, Emma with four months, Cindy and Shawnall with one month, and Joselyn with two weeks.
