Meet Our HR Director

In celebration of HR Appreciation Day, we wanted to take a moment to recognize our awesome Human Resources Director, Elizabeth Proffitt! Liz has been with Salem Woods for many years and has been in several different departments throughout her time with us. She started out in housekeeping, then found her passion for caring for others. She got her STNA license and loved caring and nurturing others. After seven years, Liz eventually transitioned onto admissions, working in multiple buildings in HR.

There are many reasons why we love Liz at Salem Woods. She is known for being a caring and honest person. She also believes in an open-door policy where her office is a safe place. It is always warm and inviting! Liz has a great relationship with each staff member, whether they are new or have been at the facility for as long as she has. Employees say Liz is a great shoulder to lean on and is always willing to listen. She goes above and beyond for staff and anyone who needs help!

In her free time, Liz enjoys going to her grandson’s soccer games and doing yard work. She is raising her grandkids and a new four-legged family member named Lucy, who can be found visiting our staff and residents sometimes.
