World Physical Therapy Day

Today is World Physical Therapy Day, and Salem Woods would like to take the opportunity to recognize not only our Physical Therapy Team but our entire Therapy Department! Our Therapy Department is constantly working together to help our residents reach their maximum potential and regain their independence.
Kelly graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Sport and Exercise Psychology and Marion Technical College with an A.A. in Physical Therapy Assistant Science. She became a therapist to help people improve their physical function and abilities to increase their quality of life. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and being outdoors.
Kathy has a Bachelors in Business Management from NKU and Associates in Physical Therapy Assistant from UC. She became a PTA to help patients return to their best version of themselves. Kathy loves hiking, volleyball, and spending time with her daughters.

Kayla graduated from the University of Dayton as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She is certified in LSVT BIG to treat people with Parkinson's. Kayla enjoys spending time outside and will be getting married next October.
Mary graduated from SDSU with a Bachelors in Psychology and Childhood Development from Cincinnati State with her Associates in Occupational Therapy Assistant. Mary has three children and one grandson. She enjoys gardening and playing the piano for her church. Her favorite part about being a COTA is teaching someone new strategies to stay independent.
Mandy graduated with her Master's from EKU in Speech Therapy. Mandy played soccer for OU. She has two beagles and loves to run. She is also passionate about treating swallowing disorders.
Eric has been an OT for two years. He got his degree from Murray State. Eric is so passionate about the healthcare field that he is going back to school in January to persue his degree in Healthcare Administration. In his free time, he likes to play piano.
